Maharaja’s Fine Jewelry Enters a New Chapter with Renovation and Next-Generation Leadership

As it approaches nearly five decades in business, Maharaja’s Fine Jewelry is stepping into its next chapter with a completed store renovation and a transition into second-generation leadership.

Founded in 1977 by Manu Samtani, the Panama City–based retailer has evolved steadily over time, moving from its early beginnings in apparel into fine jewelry, where it established a focus on gold and milestone-driven pieces. That growth has been shaped by a consistent, relationship-driven approach and a strong connection to the local community.

The recent remodel reflects a thoughtful investment in the in-store experience at a time when retail continues to shift. Designed to feel more aligned with today’s customer expectations, the updated space reinforces what has long defined the business—personal service, trust, and a focus on meaningful purchases, from engagement rings to timepieces.

Alongside the renovation, Mohit Samtani has stepped into a co-owner role, formalizing a transition that has been years in the making. Having been involved in the business from a young age, he brings both continuity and a forward-looking perspective as the company looks ahead.

With plans to expand its digital presence, Maharaja’s Fine Jewelry is balancing tradition with evolution—maintaining what has made it successful while adapting to the needs of a changing retail landscape.

Continental Buying Group extends its congratulations to the Samtani family on this milestone and looks forward to their continued growth and success in the years ahead.
